AKA: Pappom, Pomillon, and the Papillon Pomeranian Hybridpaperanian

Description: The Paperanian is a cross between the Papillion and Pomeranian. They possess both breed’s appearance. Body is long and well built. They are small in size, has thick long coat all over their body except on their face which is regulary hairy but not too long. They have round dark eyes,and ears are carried high.

Temperament: They are a very playful, friendly dog. They are very energetic too like other pets. They use to seek attention with humans especially with their owner. They are very smart and obedient  dog therefore, they are easy to train so their owner wouldn’t find hard time teaching them some commends and tasks to do. They could also be considered as pet dog that is because they are a sweet, affectionate and loyal.

Activity: Like all other breeds, they are required to have daily long walk and jog. They are an outgoing breed. They always love to play games outdoors.

Health: Like the Pomeranian breed, they are also prone to some canine desease. Life span is around 12-16 years.

Grooming: Proper daily brushing would keep their coat smooth and soft and to prevent tangles. Clean their ears and eyes to keep away from infections. Bathe them only when necessary.

Country Of Origin: United States

Dynamics: Paperanian breed was believed to be originated in United States back in 1950’s although there hasn’t been really any scientific proof about that. They are being loved by most families taking care of them as they are a friendly pet dog and a perfect human companion.

AKA: American Labradoodle, Standard Labradoodle

400px-RustyDescription: A Labradoodle is a breed developed by crossing the Labrador Retriever and the Standard or Miniature Poodle. The general breed Labradoodle pertains to the American Labradoodle and not the Australian Labradoodle, which is a purebred dog and not a crossbreed.

Both its appearance and behavior varies, resulting to no formation of standards over the breed. The hair can be wiry, soft, straight, wavy, or curly.

Dynamics: The Labradoodle’s behavior and temperament is still unpredictable in general, and may depend on the method of raising it. Most often the Labradoodle grows up with the desired traits of a dog but it is not final yet.

Weight: Standard Females 45-60 pounds (20-27 kg.) Males 55-77 pounds (25-35 kg.), Miniature 30-50 pounds (14-25 kg)

Height: Standard 22-24 inches (53-60 cm.), Miniature 17-22 inches (44-56 cm.)

Color: The color of the Labradoodle’s coat can be white, cream, gold, apricot, red, brown and black, and other Poodle colors.

Country of Origin: The development of the Labradoodle first started in 1989, when Wally Conron crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle for Guide Dogs Victoria in Australia.

Activities: The Labradoodle needs to be taken outdoors and exercised from time to time. This breed was developed to be a guide dog for the blind, and was also used as assistance dogs and therapy dogs.

Chorkie

Description: Chorkie is a cross between Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier. They have rounded head with a dark, very meaningful eyes and small nose. Their ears do hang low and erect especially when they are alert. This cross breed comes in two coat types: The Short and Long Haired Chorkie. The short hair is just like that of chihuahua however the hair on its legs, chest and muzzle may be longer. The Long haired Chorkie is about half long than the hair of a Yorkshire Terrier. Easy to maintain hair and do not shed heavily. Coat patterns are in Merle, Brindle and Sable. Chorkies do come in variety of colors brown, chestnut, blond, silver, blue, black and chocolate.

Temperament: Chorkies are very Sociable dog especially with families and children. They a smart,playful dog. They are very much attached to their owner. When it comes to some strangers they could also be aggressive and be aloof because they wanted to protect their family. They do well with other animals except with rats. They also could be a good companion.

Chorkies are a just a small dog but they have the attitude to be brave towards large dogs and for this they need to be controlled. But could get along well with smaller pets. They are more on indoor life than outdoor since they could not bear with cold temperature and excessive heat.

Activity: They are also required to have daily exercise and walking to boost up their energy. They like to run around and loves family outings.

Health: As a Hybrid Breed, they usually suffer with some few genetic health issue. Also prone to eye,feet infection. They may also suffer from problems that are common in toy breeds such as issues with small leg joints. Other problems may include hypoglycemia. Their life expectancy is about 15 years.

Grooming: They should be brushed every week depending on the length of their hair, Bathe only when necessary. They are not a heavy shedder. Eyes and feet should always be checked for they are prone to infections.

Cairnoodle

cairnoodleAKA: Cairn-Poo

Description: This is not a pure breed dog they are crossed between Cairn Terrier and Poodle. They are an agile and high spirited. Since they are a mixed breed, their looks is also a combination of the two breeds like their coat which is somewhat curly and others are slightly wavy, very thin and short all over their body and coat is longer on their face. They show a hardy appearance with dark and large eyes and broad head.

Temperament: This cross bred is loyal and friendly, also affectionate. They acquired the boldness of a terrier as well as the sensitivity of a poodle but others are a mix of both traits. They are also very sociable especially with children and other non-canine pets. But they its not good for them to be left alone for a longer period of time because they demand full attention. Moreover, They should be engaged in a lot of activities to lessen or avoid making them feel bored and lonely so they wouldn’t become destructive. Another is that they are an alert dog, they bark when there are some suspicious strangers.

Activity: They could live in an apartment should be exercised like playing in a secured open yard and also a secured leash when taken to a walk. In indoors, they should have a safe toys for them to enjoy their play.

Grooming: They should be bathed regulary with a mild shampoo and be brushed a lot of times in a week to make them feel good and to prevent tangle and matting. Dental hygiene is also important for them to protect their teeth from early loss.

Health Problems: They are prone to such health issues as PRA, luxating patella, heart problems, portal shunt, and CMO.

Affen Spaniel

AKA: Affenpinscher / Cocker Spaniel hybridaffen

Description & Temperament: It is a cross between the Affenpinscher and the Cocker Spaniel. They are very intelligent,playful, obedient, lovable and gentle breed. Plus they are very social. They get along well with their own kind as well as with other pets. Because they will meekly accept virtually anything, it is sensible to protect them from children’s play which can become too rough. Affen is recognized with hair on the head is short and fine and on their body is medium length and they have a feathering shiny hair on ears, chest,belly and legs .Almost any color is accepted, including black, deer red, light beige, black and tan, and multi-colored

Activity: They also love to play and enjoy hunting birds, swimming and retrieving. Also they needed long walks daily and exercise.

Grooming: Grooming is important for their hair.Daily brushing is important.  Ears should be checked and get excess hair between the pads of the feet, and inside the ear, on a regular basis.

Dynamics: This breed is moderately energetic, a genius easy to train dog. They are also very very friendly & playful and moderately calm.

Afollie

Description: It is a cross between the Afghan Hound and the Collie. The undercoat is compact and wooly, the outer coat is straight, tough, long, and rough. They have a little of a chinky eyes. and their color is usually dark with white accent. Their ears are carried especially when they are alert. They get along well with children, household pets and other dogs.

Temperament: Afollie is is a cheerful, gentle, lovable, proud dog. They are always interested to learn things and also independent and active. They belong to the family and not for outdoors. They have no tendency to run away instead,they stay close to their owners.

Activity: They needed a long walk regularly. This breed usually performs well in obedience trainings and agility competitions

Grooming: They require a good grooming. Their hair must be brushed regularly to avoid tangles. Always keep the inside of the ears clean for proper hygiene. The hair of Afollie is parted on their back.

Health Problems: eye defect, thyroid problems and skin problems. Life span is about 10-12 years.

Color: black, blue, slate-colored, reddish-brown, all shades of grey with white markings on the nose, chest, legs, and feet or neck. The white markings are not permitted beyond the shoulder

Afghan Collie

Description: The Afghan Collie is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Afghan Hound and the Border Collie. They were a hunting dog in their native land. They have long body and a shiny coat from their head to their tail.

Temperament: They are very active, sociable, very friendly, intelligent easy to learn things . Also, they are independent, cheerful and clever dog.

Activity: This breed requires long walk daily. They always love to play.This breed usually performs well in obedience trials and agility competitions

Grooming: They need a great deal of grooming. Their hair should be brushed many times a week to avoid tangles. The hair of a Afghan Collie should be parted along the back and their ears should always be clean to prevent infection.

Color: lack, blue, slate-colored, reddish-brown, all shades of grey with white markings on the nose, chest, legs, and feet or neck. The white markings are not permitted beyond the shoulder

Afador

Afador

Description: The Afador are is a cross between the Afghan Hound and the Labrador Retriever. They have a very long, fine coat. The hair on the face is short. Any color is accepted They have an average height and weight. Has a very long, smooth, fine coat, hair in their face is short. They have variety of colors,but the most common colors are red through to shades of beige and often they have dark mask.

Temperament: This breed is a responsible, spirited and noble dog. It is in their blood to run after into anything that runs or moves quickly. Their breed is strong and brave, alert, not noisy and careful with strangers. The males could control them. They are a loud barkers that could alarm their homes for some suspicious strangers. As long as they are not being harassed ,They could get along well with children especially with older ones. Generally they are an independent breed thus, its not always easy to train them since they could never be completely independent.

Activity: They need a lot of exercise everyday. Bicycling with the dog every day will be best, but do not forget their hunting instinct. Only allow them to run freely off their leash in a safe area.

Grooming: Their coat needs a full grooming twice a week. You could combine their hair from the skin outwards to prevent tangles but take extra care not to break their hair and keep their ears clean for proper hygiene.

Health Problems: low pain tolerance, thereby suffering even with minor injuries and also Prone to hip and elbow dysplasia, PRA and eye disorders. Life span is about 10-12 years

Poodle

AKA: Barbone, CanichePoodle

Description: The Poodle comes in three different types: Toy, Miniature, and Standard. The standard Poodle is medium to large in size and is graceful and has stout build. They looked so elegant and well groomed. Eyes are dark and oval shaped, head and muzzle are long, with a slightly rounded head with ears wide and hanging close to head. The teeth should formed a scissors bite. The tail is docked to half the original length. Their body is slightly long and level The top line is level except for a slight curve behind the withers. The croup is round in shape and the feet are dense, small, and oval.  All solid colors are allowed. These dogs are known for their abundant, tight curls, with a coat that is profuse and harsh in texture.

Temperament: This breed are proud,dignified, elegant and a friendly dog They are highly intelligent so they are a fast learner especially on their trainings. They are happy but also sensitive at times. Standard poodles are more calm than small ones. They enjoy having companion so they like being with people. Socialization is never a problem with this breed because Socializing with people is their favorite even with strangers as well as with children. And they could get along well with other dogs too. This breed is also a good watch dog and some of them are trained to be hunters.

Activity: Barbones are inactive indoors and they should have a daily exercise even just in a small yard. A daily walk would also be best for them and they also love water. Standard poodle is a very athletic they have great stamina and enjoys doing a lot of activities than the smaller poodles.

Grooming: This breeds requires a thorough grooming. They must be bathed regularly and be clipped in 2 months to give them a lighter feeling on the weight of their coat when swimming to protect the coats as well as their major organs from cold temperature. Also, ears should be checked regularly to avoid infection and it is important to pull out hair on their ears too. and teeth should be checked too for Poodles shed a little.

Health Problems: The life span of Poodle is around 10-13 years for Standard Poodles, 13-16 years for Miniature Poodles and up to 16 years for Toy Poodles. The health problems to look out for this breed are: Addison’s Disease, HD, PRA, bloat, SA, epilepsy, entropion, cataracts, renal disease, and allergies.
