AKA: Working Terrier, Waterside Terrier, Bingley Terrier

Description: The Airedale Terrier is a large terrier breed. Its head are rightly balanced , long and flat but not too wide between the ears and slightly narrowing on their eyes. The ears are v-shaped , it doesn’t  point directly to its the eyes, small but is also proportion to its size has a deep, proud, strong and muscular foreface. Their eyes are dark, small,  alertness and smart. They have dark black nose. Its teeth are strong and white and in scissors bite. Neck are moderate in length and widens reaching their shoulders. Also, they have long shoulder  Chest deep and strong too. Loins are also very muscular.

Temperament: Airedale Terriers are intelligent, impressible, and faithful. They are very playful that makes them good for older children. They are aloof towards everybody. But they can do what any other dog can do. And they can be friendly as well. Also, they are strong and healthy breed.

Activity: They are a strong swimmer and a hunter of ducks as well as boar and deer. He will also valiantly protect his owner and his property. As a working dog, this breed serves in the army and works with police as well as search and rescue teams.

Grooming: They need good grooming. Their hair should be brushed a lot of times in a week. The hair of an Afghan Collie should be parted along the back and their ears should always be clean.

Health Problems: Airedale Terriers may suffer from eye problems, hip dysplasia, skin infections, and bloat. Deep-chested dogs are more prone to it. Their life span is 12 – 14 years.
