German Hunt Terrier
AKA: German Hunting Terrier, Deutscher Jagdterrier, Jagdterrier
Description: This breed has a resemblance of a Doberman. They also come in black color with a brown reddish mark on their muzzle. Their coat is stiff but also smooth and soft. Their head is lengthened and wide, circular cheeks and has strong jaws. Ears are regular in size that also matched their head, set high. Its eyes are dark in color and deep set, body is firm, strong and muscular, because they are born a hunter type of terrier. Their tail is also docked and carried high especially when they are alert.
Temperament: This kind of breed is a genius easy to train, but they could also at times be bad-tempered. A Very determined with work since they are born a hunter. And always full of energy and ready for work. A very friendly dog but could be suspicious with strangers and ready to protect their homes from those strangers that would try to invade their home. Also, they are a fearless and observant guard dog. They could become stubborn and difficult to handle when they lack exercise and or be stagnant and does nothing.
Activity: They are required to have daily walk and exercise. Since they are born hunter, they are used to working and do hunting jobs that is why they need a lot of exercise so they would not have any behavioral problem.
Health: They have no known health issues because they are healthy breed. Their life span is about 10-15 years.
Grooming: They don’t require heavy grooming. And since they have short hair, they only need to be brushed to eliminate dead hair and to maintain its softness and shine.

Dynamics: This breed is a born hunter therefore, they are very much trained to work. The head is noble, but not as massive as the Bloodhound’s. The ears hang flat, light and not too long. The nose is black and the eyes are a dark brown. The eye rims should be tight, with no haw. The teeth form a scissors bite.
