Description: The Dogue de Bordeaux is a mastiff breed that is short, stocky, and muscular. Its head is a distinctive feature, with an undershot and powerful jaw, and a distinguishable black or red mask around and under the nose, lips, and eye rims. The nostrils are very open and the upper lips hang thickly down over the lower jaw. The ears naturally hang down. There is a dewlap on the neck. The thick skin is loose. The front legs are straight and the tail is straight, curving when the dog is excited.

Dynamics: The Dogue de Bordeaux has a calm and gentle personality, although originally it was considered ferocious. It is a brave and loyal companion, and is patient and devoted to its family. It is gentle with children and other family members. It makes a wonderful watchdog and guard dog.

The Dogue de Bordeaux can be aggressive with other dogs. It has to be socialized and trained firmly from an early age. Male Dogue de Bordeaux generally does not tolerate other male dogs.

Activities: The Dogue de Bordeaux needs a lot of exercise as it has a huge amount of energy within. This breed has served man throughout history as a war dog, flock guardian, dog fighter, cattle driver, watch dog, and guard dog.

Grooming: The Dogue de Bordeaux’s coat does not need that much attention. An occasional combing and brushing is enough.

Other Info: The Dogue de Bordeaux has a life expectancy of 10 to 12 years. It is generally a healthy breed, although litters are small and birth is difficult because of the puppies’ large heads. The Dogue de Bordeaux will be fine living in an apartment as long as it is sufficiently exercised.

Dogue Brasileiro

Dogue BrasileiroDescription: The Dogue Brasileiro is a muscular breed that exudes speed and strength. Its body is structured well with strong bones, and the thick skin is relatively loose but with no dewlap. The neck is strong and slightly arched, and the shoulders and arms are strong and muscular, ending in catlike feet.

Dynamics: The Dogue Brasileiro has a balanced personality and are sweet-tempered. It gets along very well with children and is loyal to its family. This bread is affectionate and very eager to please. This breed is also brave and courageous, making an excellent watchdog and guard dog. Generally, this breed is not aggressive.

Activities: This is a very active breed and therefore needs a lot of exercise to exhaust its energy. This breed is mainly used as a watchdog or a guard dog, and most especially a family companion.

Grooming: The Dogue Brasileiro is very easy to groom because of its short hair. An occasional combing and brushing will be enough.

Other Info: The Dogue Brasileiro has a life expectancy of 12-13 years. It will be fine living in an apartment as long as it is taken outdoors from time to time and exercised sufficiently.

Clumber Spaniel

Description: Clumber Spaniel is a giant breed, with broad and deep muzzle, skull is flat. Clumber’s coat is straight, flat, compact and soft to touch. They have muscular neck,Forelegs are straight,eyes is large, deep set that comes in dark amber color showing an affectionate expression. The ears is triangular in shape with rounded tip, wide on top that has dense ear leather. Nose are square shaped, large and comes in beige, rose and cherry. Their tail is hairy too and set below the line of their back.
Clumbers are a very popular dog among shooting men since they are known as a hunter as well. They are the keenest among the hunters.

Temperament: Climber Breed is known as the gundog but not as quick as they are. They belong to good retrievers and be improved more of trained. They are affectionate, smart and calm dog. However, they could also be aloof with strangers. Unlike other reserved breeds, they could easily get along well with people also with other animals. Moreover, they are not assertive and could play as guardian to children around them.

Activity: Like other breeds, they too needed a daily exercise and daily walk specifically brisk walking. They could live in an apartment life. In addition, they love bicycling and ball chasing to keep them fit, strong and avoid being overweight.

Health: Health problems for this breed includes: panosteitis (or juvenile lameness), and hip dysplasia, cataracts, dry eyes, and entropion also skin desease and flea. Take good care of them since they tend to swallow extrinsic objects. And do not overfeed them. Life span is about 10-12 years.

Grooming: Hair must be trimmed for those long haired one. And comb regularly to avoid shedding and tangle. Also, keep their eyes and ears clean always to avoid infection.

Description: Cockapoo is not a purebred type, they are cross between the cocker spaniel and poodle. They are squarely built,hairy breed like that of both poodle and cocker spaniel dog. Proportion body. Has long and curly coat all over his body. Moreover, their coat is also compact and needs a lot of brushing. They are usually identified through their size with their height.

Temperament: They are also considered toy dog since they are very loyal, friendly breed and They are an outgoing dog too, easy to train because they are known as the smartest dog in the world. But Proper handling on trainings is required for them since they are an obedient breed. Moreover, cockapoo eager to please and a friendly dog thus, making him one of the best human companion. That is why its not hard for them to get along well with others especially with children also with other animals.

Activity: They needed daily physical exercise and a daily walk to keep them healthy and in good condition. They also love to run and play around.

Health: They have the tendency to suffer genetic problems called hybrid vigor.

Grooming: Regular brushing is required for this breed, since they have long curly/wavy hair. Clipping is also required of them at least once a year.

Dogo Argentino

Dogo ArgentinoDescription: The Dogo Argentino is a muscular and well-structured dog descended from the mastiff breed. It has a massive head that is convex in the front and has a moderate stop. The ears hang naturally but can be cropped. The eyes are either a dark brown or a dark hazel. The nose is black and the jaws are powerful, the teeth forming a scissors bite.

The skin on the Dogo Argentino’s neck is loose, serving as protection for the Dogo Argentino when hunting. The chest is wide, and the tail is long, carried high or swinging but never carried over the back.

Dynamics: The Dogo Argentino was bred to be a fierce hunter and a gentle and loyal family companion in one. It is playful, intelligent, and devoted to its family. It is good with children, and also with other pets if they are raised with them from puppyhood.

Training the Dogo Argentino has to be firm and consistent. This breed is easy to train because it is highly intelligent. There are dogs, though, that are more dominant and are unpredictable because of improper socialization. This breed requires early socialization and obedience training.

Country of Origin: The Dogo Argentino originates in Argentina, where it was bred by Dr. Atonio Nores Martinez during the 1920s. He crossed the now-extinct Dog of Cordoba (which was a mastiff-type sort) with the Great Dane, the Boxer, the Spanish Mastiff, the Bulldog, Bull Terrier, Great Pyrenees, Pointer, Irish Wolfhound, and the Dogue de Bordeaux.

Activities: The Dogo Argentino is a breed that needs plenty of exercise. It is used in hunting, tracking, as a watchdog, guard dog, in police and military work, competitive obedience, and schutzhund. The Dogo Argentino is also used in dog fights, which is a reason why it is one of the 3 breeds banned in the United Kingdom as decreed by the 1991 Dangerous Dog Act.

Grooming: The Dogo Argentino is easy to care for. Its coat has no doggy odor. The nails need frequent clipping, though, as they grow very fast.
